Developed by two brothers

Resonaut was coded with love (not AI) by Midwestern brothers Nick and Dan. We left our corporate software engineering jobs to create the ultimate mobile soundscape app — a powerful tool and immersive listening experience in one.

Powered by authentic field recordings...

We've spent the past few years learning new skills and trekking through the wilderness to capture our own unique, high quality sounds.

...and beautiful hand-crafted ambient music

Featuring songs contributed by talented artists Ed Herbers, the ocean index, and Aether Meditations (with more on the way).

Releasing this year (2026)

We are close to launch! Public beta testing for iOS and Android is already underway. Follow on social media for updates (or if you just like watching random nature/sound videos).

Soundscapes that are...

  • Dynamic

Procedurally evolving audio with multiple play modes for complete immersion—everything is seamless and natural.

  • Customizable

Upload your own sounds, create elaborate mixes, adjust volume / speed / pan, add effects like reverb, and much more.

  • Unique

50+ authentic, high quality recordings and songs that we created and curated ourselves.

Free field recordings

As a small thanks to other creators and hobbyists that freely share their work, I'll be uploading many of the (full, lossless quality) sounds that I've recorded to freesound.org under royalty free licenses.
