Resonaut Sound License

Last updated: June 8, 2026

This Sound License governs your right to use the sounds, audio assets, and soundscapes available within the Resonaut app (collectively, "Sounds"). Your license tier is determined by your subscription status at the time of use.

1. Free License (All Users)

All users of the Resonaut app — with or without a paid subscription — are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide license to use the Sounds for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

Permitted personal uses include:

You may modify, mix, and layer Sounds within the app. This license does not permit any commercial use of any kind.

2. Premium License (Premium Subscribers Only)

Users with an active Resonaut Premium subscription are granted an expanded, non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide license to use the Sounds for both personal and commercial purposes.

Permitted commercial uses include:

The Premium license is valid only while your subscription remains active. If your subscription lapses, commercial use rights revert to the Free license terms above. Projects completed during an active Premium subscription are not retroactively affected.

You may modify, mix, and process Sounds without restriction, subject to the prohibitions in Section 3.

3. Restrictions (All Users)

Regardless of subscription tier, you may not:

Sounds must always be used as part of a larger creative work and may never be distributed in isolation or as the primary commercial deliverable.

4. User-Created Mixes / Soundscapes

Mixes and soundscapes you create within Resonaut using the included Sounds are considered your own creative works. You may use them personally (Free) or commercially (Premium), subject to the restrictions in Section 3.

The underlying Sounds embedded in your mix remain licensed under this Resonaut Sound License. You may not extract, distribute, or sell those underlying Sounds as standalone files from your mix.

5. User-Imported Sounds

Sounds you import from your own device are your responsibility. This license does not apply to user-owned or user-imported content. You represent that you have the rights necessary to use any sound you import.

6. Sounds With Separate Licenses

Some Sounds may carry their own license or attribution requirements (for example, Creative Commons-licensed content). Where a Sound includes a specific license notice, that license governs that Sound instead of this one.

Any Sound distributed through Resonaut that does not include a separate license notice is governed by this Resonaut Sound License by default.

7. Ownership

All rights, title, and ownership of the original Sounds remain with Resonaut, LLC or the respective sound creators. This license grants usage rights only and does not transfer ownership of any Sound to you.

8. Attribution

Attribution is not required unless explicitly stated by a Sound's specific license (see Section 6).
